Musee Les Art Decoratifs

TIP: Don’t miss the Museum of Jewellery on the second level, exit 2nd floor. A historic and mesmerising exhibition of important jewellery throughout the ages. Why not lunch at the oh so trendy ‘Le Saut du Loup’.

Conciergerie
This building is now part of the Palais de Justice so don't get in the wrong queue. Most tourists want to see where famous prisoners such as Marie Antoinette, Charlotte Corday and Danton were held captive. After falling out of favour as a royal residence it was transformed into a building to register prisoners, manage police and later a prison was built.

Museums and Gardens of Albert Kahn
While no a popular museum and garden visit spectacular nonetheless. You'll find gardens in French, English and Japanese style. The property was left by philanthropist and French banker, Albert Kahn.
The museum and gardens are open daily between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. from the beginning of May to the end of September and between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. for the rest of the year. Musée Marmottan Monet
This museum houses the largest collection of ‘tableaux’ by Monet from 1883 and onwards. There are several other impressionists art pieces that were bequeath to the museum by Daniel Wildenstein.

Musée Carnavalet – The History of Paris
A wonderful museum to discover all about Paris’ turbulent past. Visit the beautiful grounds which are situated n the middle of the Marais district. In 1548 it was home to the President of the Parliament of Paris.

Musée Jacquemart-André – Van Dyck
The former home of Nelie and Edouard Andre, their vast fortunes enabled them to buy an extraordinary collection of art. Some of the finest pieces of Italian and French artworks belong to this museum. The visit includes the state and private apartments, informal apartments, the Winter Garden and the Italian museum. Expects works from Botticini, Bernini, Botticelli and many others. Special exhibitions throughout the year.

Musée Rodin
One of the most important museums for sculpture fans. The museum is home to some 6,000 pieces. Regular exhibitions feature international sculptors. There is an extensive calendar of events online. Don't miss the gardens, or lunch in the gardens.

Grand Palais
This most famous Paris monument reopened in 2005 after an extensive 12 years of renovation. It is nothing less than one of the most majestic spots in Paris. There are several entrances, depending on which gallery or exhibition you wish to visit.
